With all the AI photo editing apps and filters out there, I still take the time to hand edit every photo in my clients’ galleries!
Many photographers today use actions and presets in Photoshop, Lightroom or other programs to “batch edit” an entire gallery.
This method works fine, but it’s not perfect for babies or older individuals with aged skin. Many times, these methods leave the skin “flat” and plastic looking.
Other photographers use AI to do the work for them. AI has come a long way, but it still has much improvement to be made to successfully master the newborn photo world in a natural looking way.
I LOVE the editing process, fixing skin imperfections, balancing skin color and tones, whitening teeth, and eyes, fixing makeup and hair as well as shedding some un-wanted weight the camera adds.
(Yes, that’s a real thing!)

I highly recommend Tracy! She has done my newborn and maternity photos. Tracy is newborn certified and knows how to pose them safely. She is an amazing photographer and doesn’t rush the session. Her pricing is reasonable, and includes digital copies. She has a quick turnaround time with the photos. She has clothes and props to use in the sessions. Tracy is able to edit the photos (closed eyes, bra straps, son’s frowning face). For our maternity session she had photo cards for poses. My husband, who hates getting his photo taken, really appreciated this.
